Google Ads puts your business in front of people actively searching for what you sell. It's the most intentional advertising platform — nobody clicks a Google ad by accident. They searched, they saw, they clicked.
Start with Search Ads (text ads on Google search results). Skip Display Network until you know what you're doing — it's cheaper but less targeted, and your budget will evaporate on random websites.
Keyword research is everything. Use exact match and phrase match keywords, not broad match (which is Google's way of spending your money on tangentially related searches). Start with 10-20 highly relevant keywords and expand from there.

Negative keywords save money. If you sell premium watches, add 'cheap,' 'free,' and 'knockoff' as negative keywords so you don't pay for unqualified clicks.
Check your campaigns weekly, not daily. Daily optimization leads to panic-driven changes. Weekly gives you enough data to make informed decisions.
